I decided to do Parkrun to switch up my routes a bit. I was in Lichfield this weekend so I ended up doing Beacon Park parkrun. I don’t know why but I got stitch quite severely twice on this route so I took the decision to walk 2 times. That’s really unlike me I will only ever walk if I really really need to.
So I was a bit gutted to have had to walk. But I realised it was the right thing to do. And I was pleased I’d tried a different parkrun route.

I’ve been to another one today in a different location (Lichfield, Beacon park) and learnt that they are ALL just lovely 🥰 I wondered if it was that where we live in the Peak District meant that parkrun was lovely.. but actually Parkrun itself is lovely wherever you are!! The volunteers are super helpful and generous.. will take a finish picture if you ask politely… They are literally volunteering their own Saturday morning to help give you a good community run.. how nice is that! And I am just an overthinking introvert!!! Hopefully this inspires someone to try @parkrun
